My New Year Wish List

I have a lot to think about this year. About my career, role in fellowship/church, family, etc...

There's no doubt that God has been taking care of me for the time I'm in Hong Kong. But what is my next step? Where am I heading to?

I'm especially concerned about what I should do in church/for church. Next year I'm not taking up any tasks in serving fellowship. I've been serving in the committee for the past two years and I really don't see how growth is possible (on a personal and fellowship level) if I continue to serve in the same post. I'd rather explore new opportunities to work for God, maybe even outside the church. At the same time I have to deal with a problem: after three years I still feel quite distant to the church I am attending. I find it quite difficult to bring newcomers to fellowship/church as I do not know the church or others very well. At least I do not feel it's 'just because our hobbies/interests are different' and that's why I need to consider whether this is a place I should stay. Rather I'm thinking whether we can do things together for God despite of the all our differences. If brothers and sisters continue to stay happily in the same circle and do not reach out, I do really question whether this is a place that God pleases and whether God wants me to stay here, and for what purpose.

And here are a few things I want to do:

1) Evangelize -I guess this is my weakest area, but I'm 'experimenting' with my colleagues. Some of them are interested in faith. I have to learn more about how to share my faith in the workplace.

2) Cooking - to stop Simon from gaining too much weight.. hahah!

3) Music - I'm definitely going to get a piano of some sort this year! May start to compose songs again...

4) Photography?!?! Ya, since Simon is eager to learn, so I may go with him. *Discretion: I already told him that getting expensive lenses DO NOT necessarily mean you can take good photos* Well, a picture is worth a thousand words. If one can use photos to express messages and let others get to know you and your faith, I think it's very worthwhile.

Blessings this year:

1) Yes, it's almost time to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary!

2) I'm still working in the same clinic... ooh!!! It's a miracle!

3) Learning more about God's words this year... and really get to know how important praying is!

4) Experiencing God throughout the year makes me very happy

Wish you all a happy new year!

Time for reunion

It's nice to see you again! We had a such a good time in Cheung Chau. And I'm so grateful that my Cheung Chau friend took half a day to show us around the place!

Thank God for you, who is always supportive and understanding. I wish we can serve God together again with other Grace people, not sure whether it's going to happen, but I know God has His time and He knows my wish.

Looking forward to our next reunion....
