God at work

Our Lord listens to our prayers.

It's hard for a person to notice what God is doing if he/she doesn't pray. Simple as that.

Just heard from Eunice that she got the last seat on the Dec 9 flight to Hong Kong . There was nothing much she could do beforehand but to wait and pray. Quoting what she said, this incident is a positive experience for her and Thomas.

When we do count our blessings from God and notice how God responds to our prayers, we'll be amazed by what God is doing in our lives. The only problem with today's people is that we don't even take the first step.

During the meeting for review of our evangelistic ministry, some brothers and sisters said they really experienced God's hands leading us along the way. They felt that God prepared everything for us. There was not a lot that we did, yet God's providence was more than we expected. No one knew how the night was going to turn out, but God surprised us by having 10 people willing to convert and follow Christ. As long as we are willing to put our trust in Him and take the first step, we would experience His grace. The brothers and sisters who contributed most are the ones who experienced the most.

People don't see God working in their lives because they don't believe so. Thus they never look and observe. If we're willing to spend some time listening to the sharings of others in church, reading some news about what other Christians are doing on the other side of the world, or maybe even reading the blogs of other brothers and sisters, we'll know that God is at work at all times. To me this is so obvious. It is hard to describe the excitement I feel whenever I see God's hands working in our fellowship, our church, our society and our world. We should be thankful that the God that we believe in is the One who came into our history, changed mankind, and is willing to interact with us everyday.
