Story of an Olympian

The story of a mom who never gives up her child:

Phelps's Mother Recalls Helping Her Son Find Gold Medal Focus (click to read)

Michael Phelps, the eight gold medalist in the Olympic games this year, suffered from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder when he was a kid. Who would have thought about his accomplishments today back at that time? When everyone else, including his teachers, already decided there's no future for this kid, his mother just did not believe that was the case. She might not know what her son can achieve, but she was determined not to give up.

This recalls me of our heavenly Father who also does the same to us. No matter how hopeless we seem to be, He simply does not abandon us. Our worth in His eyes is not ability-related but is intrinsically founded in love.
